hi, my black corsa sport is currently in a spray shop cuz i brought the newer facelift front bumper for it the v-grill one (so i can change the grille easily) am getting that plus the arches and the rear middle bit of the rear bumper colour coded i told him that i don't want the textured effect on them so that they are smooth he said he will use some special primer or something that builds up and leaves a smooth surface and he said he doesn't sand them down, anyways ive been looking on here and people have said they do need to sand them down first or doesn't it matter? i guess i will find out 2moro when i fetch it , also he said the paint wont match the car cuz its new black paint so will just polishing up the rest of my car make it match? i haven't actually polished it for ages and ages anyways?

high build primer will do the same thing providing the arches are ruffed a bit, and then primered, and then sanded back with wet and dry.
