Thinking about attempting DIY colour coding.

Already have a compressor, just need spray gun and paint etc.

whats peoples views, should I attempt it, or just take it to a bodyshop.

has anyone done their own colour coding / sprayed a bumper themselves and what did it turn out like?

this is exactly how i see it. if they can manage it, it can't be that hard can it?

do you need to spray the thinners onto the bumper before priming, or can it just be done by hand with white spirit?

Basecoat = 50/50 with basecoat thinners
Clearcoat = 2:1 With hardener
2k Coat (solid colours) = 2:1 with hardener
2k Primer = 3:1 Hardener
Plastic primer = Used on its own

If things haven't hardened properly when you spray the next coat over them you will get a reaction. Unless you have infra-red paint curers like me you will find stuff takes ages to dry this time of year
