ive been looking at buyin an induction kit and exhaust system

heard a few rumours that these can fuk up your car. either by increasing air flow in and messing with pressure? or airflow out obviously with bigger exhaust?

can anyone confirm or argue these?

cheers

Drill your airbox and get and get a nice exhaust Sebring/Piper/Scorpion Etc.. Yes induction kits can fuck up cars depending on your engine size etc

No, induction kits won't fuck up a car depending on the engine size.

well it wont fuck up an engine, but i fitted a pipercross induction kit to my girlfriends 1.2 16v recently, ran ok for a few days, then started having problems with major flatspots and hesitation between 3-5k rpm.

took it off, not had the problem since.

put it back on today, problem came back! no airleaks etc... was fitted correctly.

It wouldn't be a problem with leaks, it would be because your engine's now getting a shite load more air that it doesn't know what to do with.
