only the right side of my car has sound coming from it.... the front left speaker and the left 6x9 doesnt work... why is this??

ive checked the balance on the cd player its fine...

Also i wired up the amp 2day which is working fine but for some reason the cd player reads disc/reading failure for some reason why is this... the odd thing is a few seconds after this message comes up the cd starts playing!

HELP ME PPL!!! p.s its only a chep'ish face off unit by sony

Probably an internal fault with the unit with the left channel output to the units internal amp, or the internal amps left side has blown. Have you tried taking the wires from the good 6x9 to the other one that doesnt work to make sure its not ur speakers?

Have you checked all the plugs at the back of the unit to make sure nothing has come loose?

If none of that gives you joy its time for a new unit buddy
