after going out in my mates sport i realised how much i miss a sunroof...there is a corsa sting in arden blue at the breakers with tilt n slide roof...not particularly bothered bout the colour but i really fancy one, would it be safe th have one cut out and welded in? looks like i could hace the roof panel cut n welded where the plastic roof rail trims go, will it be ultra expensive>? what would i need to do about rooflining?

lol guess urs had a smoker in...i really want a sunroof in there now, a proper gm slide n tilt n tilt n slide n hang out the window to "feel it" jobbie  im guessing the roof rails hide spot welds too?

not 100% sure but apprently i can litterly just swap roofs, but then most proberly expensive

Ive just taken the sun roof out of my car and its just bolted to the underside of the roof.
But where the hole is it has a sort of downward lip to help with the seal. I would imagine its a big job which ever way you go

have you had the roof lining out? im hoping the roof in between the rails is welded and can be ground out and re welded with a new one if possible...think i will go ripping bits out of breakers cars so i can look

there is a shop in ipswich that cuts them in i suppose ud have to ask if they would fit a original 1 in instead of there own

arnt those rail gutters a chassis flex point or something tho? i remember when people asked about getting them filled... so isnt there a chance the weld will break?

its windleys in woodhall spa...yer shud be loads graham....i will take the rail gutters, cos if the roof is welded in under them im sure it can be ground out n welded bk in, corsa chunk for corsa chunk and not drastically affect the car itself if it goes pete tong
