seems very straight forward.... Dunno what loom i have but i have connected 7 of the nine wires on my GSI colour for colour...
Can ppl tell me whats left...
CAR LOOM
Straight red - 12v + whats the hell do i do with this one.. the 12v+ one on the engine loom has a ring connecter that looks perfect for the battery
Black - Switched live - i know where this is on the engine loom, about 12" from the passenger side of the injector loom, so do i just extend the wire to the drivers footwell..
ENGINE LOOM
blue/black
Green/black
Brown/black
Red/white
all the above... do i leave these alone or what... seems like i do...
I think thats right or have i missed summin...

more i think about it the more i think im right..... just run the wires from the car loom to the engine loom...

The extra wires will be for things you don't have, like gauges. You just need to join the wires colour for colour.....

dude what have u connected that thick red wire to on the right of the photo as i havent connected this wire and i have no dash lights and i think that it has something to do with it.

thats the permanent live, i havent connected it to anyting at the moment i still have the dash light though :S

ahhh damn i will have to investigate further, my xe loom seems to be so different to everyother one i have ever seen but my car runs so i cant complain

my loom is from a Cav GSI, supposedly easier to fit, Fuel relay is in car, has a long 12v live that goes to the battery. everything seems to be working fine, dont think that chunky red wire is needed on mine, so just cut it back and tape it up untill i find a use for it.
