I'd say around 15 without and around 20 with the mapping...

Will be a far better drive with mapping too, my fuel economy etc is great when driving around town to/from hospital etc normally, also no flat spots etc...

is corsa808's inlet gonna be the whole inlet or just the top half of the manifold?
what extra power could be available by a modified bottom half?

dont think much power from bottom half it's the top half thats the main restriction, a good few ft. of pipe...

ok.....

if you just fit the manzel ull gain about 15bhp, if you get it mapped with a raised limit youll gain about 17-22bhp.

by mapping i mean a uni chip. not a super chip or omex.

my spec is:-
lexmual inlet
kent fast road cams
supersprint 4-2-1
piper de-cat
bfo exhaust system
head work
viper inlet
fse boost valve
all mapped up.

138bhp and 120lbft torque

the reason u only get a gain of 10bhp without mapping is:

the majotity of extra power from an aftermarket manifold is delivered at 6000 + rpm.

the standard limiter comes in at 6800rpm.

the power output at 6750 rpm is approx 10bhp more with the new manifold.

the reason they quote "+20 bhp" is because at approx 7250 rpm with the new manifold, the engine runs at approx 20 bhp higher than a standard car at standard rev limit.

to raise the rev limit u will need a re-mapped ecu, or piggyback ecu such as a unichip. this will also set up timing and fuelling to optimum settings

but it then gets expensive, as you will also have to fit stronger conrod bolts and stronger cam belt pulleys, add this to the cost of the manifold:

manifold.............£450
mapping.............£450
rod bolts.............£85
belt rollers, belt, tensioner and fitting..£150

so forget it if u think a manifold will give 20bhp on its own, to get it so its reliable and performs well cost is more like £1200!!! and this is if u fit the manifold and other parts by urself.

My 1.4 16 with a Mantzel and Superchip gave+25bhp (plus bocked EGR and increased fuel pressure hammer

It cuts at 8000-8100 rpm
and I never used ARPs so you don`t need to spend so much money. However they are a safer bet.
The fact hte engine has 85K and is in perfect order must be due to the special race oil I use
