It's only started happening recently . Ive not changed anything apart from the headunit settings, but ive always done that anyway. Cant quite work out why its suddenly started doing it .

i thort this, but i have changed my wiring completely whilst it has been doing it, and nowe have 0 gauge earth on a new point, it still does it.

it IS a bad earthing problem.. sometime this is due to the amp itselft not the cable... so take your amp to the peeps you bought it from

It can be caused by static build up too, cant remember how to get rid of it though.

yesh, mine does it 2. everytime i start the car (the HU turns on).
Ive got good earth and ive not got any wires crossed. dont know how to stop it

Ground loop isolator or a filter on the RCA's should sort it.

The casing of the amplifier is usually already grounded inside if you take it apart, so cant see how that would make a difference?
