Is it actually copyrighted? Or by simply putting that little logo mean you have copyrighted it? I'm not too clued up on all this.

if they havnt asked your permission, then phone up redline and moan about it - although i doubt anything will be done as it has already gone to print. Although you could also write to the bloke selling the car and give him a good moan

tbh you cant do allot about it, just be honered he used your pic. in a court of law im pretty sure you wouldnt have a case. Just by putting your logo on there im pretty sure that doesnt mean its copywrited. You have to pay for the copywrite somewhere i think.

Incorrect. He took it and so owns the copyright.

The mag wouldn't do this unless the owner of the car has supplied the photo on false pretences, so your complaint is with the car owner, who can't really offer much by way of compensation.

Usually there has to be some loss of earnings issue / loss through some other channel which you'd need to prove.

As Ian says - as the Photographer you own the photo. Any photo you take you automatically own the copyright on it. You don't need to register it or anything.

The only chance of a claim would be for a % of the sale which you have contributed by use of your photo for advertising.

In all honesty its not worth the hastle but i would ring the guy up and ask him not to use the photo again if you don't want it used.

Bill the seller for the right/permission of the photograph, if they do not pay up then take them to a small claims court

it's either a brush or a layer he's added.

ICY phone up redline and inform them that someone is using one of your pictures. they won;t reprint it. also phone the guy and inform him to stop using your picture or you will seek rightfull compensation.
