its the steering that fills me with rage.

feels so unpredictable, shake steering wheel left to right and it always knocks (has got louder)

and when travelling along it feels as if wheels are moving about a bit and its not coming back thru steering.

its pulls left and right alot, as u turn steering wheel back after turning sometimes it feel light sometimes heavy.

just follows the road alot, and suddenly dives left or right, also loses traction on front wheels alot going round tight bends

felt like just spanking it into a ditch at lunch, is that annoying

any help?

sounds like my car to, i can move the wheel a fair amount before it has any effect on wheels, pulls all the time, tis crap...

Buy a proper car thats my idea lol.

maybe there is something that can be done about the play? if u find out let me know!!

i had this problem, had the car tracked, wheels balanced and lower arms and rubbers replaced. sorted!

i thing its gonna be steering rack/column

not 100% but car would be much more enjoyable to drive when sorted

it can really be anything in the front suspension that is causing this... proccess of illimanation...

mine was the front drivers side wheel baring...

go doen the motor factors and get...

2 balljoints and 2 trackrod ends try them first and eliminate them

then get the tracking done on a fourwheel lazer alignment machine....

if the problem is still there then i'd look at the wheel barings.....

tracking should be alright as it was done when suspension was fitted, i had hoped that it would go away with new suspension

are trackrod ends and balljoints much £££ and hard to replace?

its gonna be rack, my rack squeeks like a bugger when i turn at stand still, tis well worn and u can feel the play is from there...

its a fair bit of money for new PAS rack and fitting tho/...

i'd be 70% sure its not the rack...

i know it may feel that way but its not...

if it is... i seen a brand new non-pas rack for £13 this morning....

balljoints and track rod ends... depends were you get them... vaux will rape you for them...

u'd get the whole lot from a good motor factors for £40 ish... vaux would probably be about £45 for one balljoint

i've seen new quick racks for about £120, but told they not guarenteed to last that long

i was tempted by a quick rack also, we need a BULK BUY lol....

Mine is the same. Tramlines far far too much, the ride is terrible - any bumps on cornering completely cause the car to lose grip as it skits/jumps off across the surface.

Ive got 195/45/15 (I think) and otherwise its standard. I can corner faster in my girlfriend's Ka which has pizza wheels. Something like 165/60/14 [

Its been tracked but tracked in compensation for a bent trackrod. It pulls to one side but wears tyres evenly. So I reckon that is at least one source of its abysmal handling.

saw some on internet age's ago, and recentely someone was selling them on migweb

it is just corsa chassis crap or something tho, they just dont handle compared to most cars it seems..
