depends wat u want, most are fitted wat i term ' crap'...
they angle in wards and look poop.
Mine are on runners, had adjustible fitting angle, once i got it where i wanted it it has now been filled with expanding foam and as such is hard as rock...
most people who see mine are impressed, so id say its well worth doing it well, normally they are really flimsy.

as i was blending mine to the car, i offered them up to the car and put a screw on each end to hold them temporerally (sp).
then i ran sheets of fibreglass matt along the top edge of the skirts with the body of the car.
once this had fully set i rivited metal plates all along the length of the bottom of the skirts, once all the brackets were on i had some one pull the skirts out to a suitable position (not angled in) while i welded the first metal bracket to the sill i repeated this with all the brackets on both sides and ended up with this

yeah there are loads round my way like that. its because they dont support them from the bottom they just screw/glue them to the car and expect them to stay there

we tend to make brackets first mate to fit behind skirts then attract them to bodywork of car usign rivets and small amount of tiger seal, then rough the area up!! very important! and add sum fibreglass, then filler till u find a shape u like!

yeah i no what you mean if i had been fitting combat skirts i would have used this method with brakets at the top and bottom.
but mine were off another car so i had to make them fit
