dials theres 1 either side of the cowling 1 up insode the centre of the cowling

the shroud round the steering wheel wol have to come off 3 screws underneath and 1 either side of steering wheel

the mfd will come out if you undo the 2 screws behind the centre vents they will flip down and 1 screw each side

if you want the whole centre console out aswell pull off the slider knob and then the surround theres 2 screws there
then when its a lil forwad unclip all the heater control wires and hazzard switch

Bulb paint is a total waste of time, it WILL eventually burn off and change colour.
As for the mfd, its possible you have damaged one of the cables in the connecting loom, this is so fragile.

If you have a soldering iron, pass the tip across the pins where they join the circuit, these things are vry fragile and only have a little solder on them from the factory. Repeated plugging/unplugging may have caused a break in the joint, common problem if mfd is taken out a few times.
