Go for the pug mate. Much more of a car for the money. Good build quality for a french car too.

I looked at one a few months ago but decided to pay debts instead

306 everytime.

straight out the box will give u 7.5 to 60, and 140mph, oh and lovely 6 gears. Filter, induction, and that corsa aint gettin away.

Then u got air con, leather/alacantara, better looking, auto lights/wipers, loadsa air bags, discs all round, real alu dash.....basically a luxury hot hatch.

Oh, and dont even get me started on handling. lol. 306 is one of the best handling production cars ever built. A front heavy 2.0 corsa..... keep to straight roads.

306's are very wide on the road, which is why they handle well.

pug gti-6 came with the engine from the factory
the corsa didn't come out the factory with a 2litre engine

Peugeot 306 Rallye '98-'99 4/1998 167/6500 142/5500 141 6.9 137

Corsa XE. Ignore myths of poor handling, most people that say "keep them on straight roads" etc have probably never seen one let alone driven one. Get a decent shell and decent suspension and you've got a top motor that will more than suprise many other "hot hatches"

yup got to agree dont belive the myth of corsa valvers not handling as mines just fine

altho if i had the dosh i would get the pug and be prepared for leaky sunroof, engines arnt meant to be that strong? (from talking to a mate who had one) and some times the lift off oversteer can catch you and land you in the nearest heage

Drove a corsa xe running eibach springs + billies all round, and it was still pish. this was on a track day, and STANDARD 106 GTis on 14"s at normal height pissed all over us.

What i'm saying is tho, unless u spend major dosh, it will simply never handle as well as a gti6 does, straight out the box.
