Service pack 2 on a brand new installation wont have any problems.

i've had 2 since the day it was released...

sorted out a few niggles I had but the bug of extracting files is still there

probably because you have the XP firewall turned on, you just turn it off and ask it not to notify you.

probably Microsoft working with all the music companies to ensure you are not downloading music
