He was told that he had to quit or he would die, hasn't looked back since. Also he still puts the money he would have spent on fags in a jar and spends it on something thats not gonna kill him

my grandads been smoking since he was 11, he's now 72, quit once in his 60's but after smoking for that long y quit? the damage has been done already

don't breath it then...simple.....................i know it's hard in a pub and that but there is ways to avoid it..
I wish i didn't start when i was 16..but i did...I want to stop and I will sometime..
Wouldn't want my son to smoke or that......i don't like being in a smoke filled room either..
Best time i enjoy a fag is in the open air..Wouldn't bother me if they banned smokin in pubs or that in this country.
Most shoppin centres etc are no smoking now anyway......
but it's a drug...simple as m8...

PMSL, so you think it hasn't affected him already? I couldn't give a fuck about the money I spend on smoking, as i've said I enjoy it don't force it onto anyone else, when i don't enjoy it anymore i'm sure i'll quit. It's moralistic idiots like you that turn out to be old and boring having not lived there life in fear of doing something that might be seen as nonsensicle by othere moralistic beuts, regardless of whether u enjoy it, I live my life the way I want (not just by smoking), I bet you don't even drive your car unless it's totally essential incase you pollute the air or worry about wasting that extra fiver.

ah you have smoking down to a tee! thats the first thing i think of when i spark a fag 'oooo early grave here i come cant wait!'. smoking is bad for you nobody on here is denying that - but people should be able to smoke if they want to with out nonsmokers tryin to look down on them, patronising them telling them things they already know. How annoying is it when somebody says 'thats bad for you, you know' - REALLY FOOK ME I COULNDT NOTICE WITH THIS BIG SIGN SAYING SMOKING CAUSES PREAMATURE DEATH ON THE PACKET! ( but i do fancy a cig now)
