Hi

I would like to ask for your assistance, I am looking at fitting an aircon into my corsa.
I already have the wiring which I am going to fit because I will be fitting fog lights and rear window wiper. I decided to fit everything in preparation for an aircon in the future.
What I would like to know is exactly what parts do I need to try and locate for the aircon and if possible any pictures you may have that might help me identify the stuff when I hunt around at the scrap yards.
It appears from the wiring that a different (2 speed) radiator fan is required, anyone know more about this?

There's loads of bits to buy, best bet is to get in quick on a car that has it and strip what you think you need and tell the guy you'll be back for more if necessary. There have been a few stripped out ready go on eBay for 80-100 which isn't loads of money considering it'll add more than that to the value of your car. I was considering it if not for the performance hit, and the fact its no small job.

i wouldent like to do it
i have taken it out but wouldent like to fit it
be a right pain in the arse, all the holes would need cutting in the bulk head, allthe car loom/wiring at back of glovebox would need moving to hold the tank, remove the dash to add the air ducking for it.
then u still got to get it filled up by a air-con aproved centre, they will go over you setup and if anything wrong

not worth it mate i promise u, open a window less hassle

The problem is I am from South Africa and down here it is hot for 6-8 months of the year and VERY HOT for at least 2 it is during those 2 months you just MUST have an aircon.
I am starting to wonder if the aircon in our models is not slightly different to yours...
It would appear so far to me that on the interior you only have a aircon radiator unit which fits into the existing fan housing just next to the heating unit, I saw a car at the scrap yard which had aircon in (most of the bits gone though) and it didn't appear as if the glovebox was any different to mine.
As mentioned the holes through the bulkhead could be a major problem though, that could be a upgrade killer...
I know this is not going to be easy, but I am currently working on the wiring as I am going to be fitting spots and a rear window washer.
I got a wiring loom out of a GSi LTD model so may as well fit the aircon bits too.
My biggest conversion to date was electric windows and mirrors, which I had to source from the UK as none of the 2 door model corsa's in SA came with electric windows or mirrors, only the 4 door models.
