ok just bought the 1.6 16v ecotech engine (thats all)..i just need to know what else i will need for the conversion from 1.2 8v...i need the gearbox ecu, wiring loom what else please?? thank you

brakes, driveshafts, better engine mounts??

i have v6 brakes on already... engine mounts are ok apparently and the driveshafts are meant to be ok too...someone who done same conversion told me this..any info is appreciated

You could use your current gearbox, although the F15/13 would be better.

You need a ecu and loom, the ecu has a built in immobiliser so whatever car you get the loom from you will also need the key and immobiliser stuff.

Do you have the inlet manifold, sensors etc?

not sure to be honest..ill have to check..ill get a haynes manual for the engine and check over...i know i dont have the inlet manifold ...i think ill get the ecu and loom as one unit...can i not get it to work with my keys for the immobiliser?

no you need a ecu and transponder chip and ring that are all from the same car or it will never work

I hope you didn't pay much as getting a useable ecu, loom and inlet manifold wont be cheap or easy...
