Ok, sussed the relay (17), fitted the right fuse (41), still nothing. I will have to investigate further!

I been to vaux, and had a look with tech 2. The option is not there, but when the Front Fog Light test was done, it works!
There was no input from the button when we did the button test. I have had the switch to bits and found there is no wire connected to pin 9 (the fron fog switch) and the BCM. I shall try placing one in and check if that works. As for your 'cant b done' Munchie, I refuse to believe that is the case.

why not replace the relay with an aftermarket one + switch

The problem lies with the light being BCM controlled, and the loom from the switch not having a connection to the BCM. It's only a case of one wire from one plug to another, just I can't seem to find the crimp pins to suit the plugs. I think I'll visit a scrap yard locally and see if I can just cut a loom up and make do a solution.
