is it the OEM pressure bleed valve from the intake? I know metro turbos had something like that...

well if you tell us whereabouts its come from, we might be able to help? Doesnt look like its something to do with braking as not high pressure connections/hoses, so that leaves airflow. From the knurled bit and the hoses, I'd agree with big eck and say its a bleed valve for regulating boost

Hehehe its from my 220 Turbo, you lot are close, its not a bleed valve tho, its a GBE Boost controller, i was teasing "motorspeed" and he hadnt a clue!

I meant in more detail than that - i.e. off the boost hose etc etc...

a bleed valve does control boost

Bleed valve lets air out to trick actuator to open at higher boost, Boost controller holds pressure from reaching actuator until preset boost is reached.
