While I remember, if your buying fibreglass front wings, try to get the ones with the plastic arches premoulded into them. Means a hell of a lot less hassle fooking about with them and bumpers are much easier to remove quickly.

there different from the wide-arches on motorsportdirect i take it... will be needing wide ones myself...
jr you'll have to get your car on a weigh-bridge sometime & let us know what its weight actually is!

Yes they're different, they are exactly the same as standard arches but are obviously made of fibreglass and have the shape of the plastic arch trim joined on to them so that you dont need them. Means for rallying that you can pull the bumper or arch off quickly and replace either without dicking around with the stupid arch trim.
As for the wide arch kit, thats really nice, but many find the extra costs for extending the hubs etc not cost effective for competition. Shame though as its a really nice kit. Im tempted for my next car after the Nova...

Ah good point. Im pretty sure that its illegal for your wheels to stick out further than the bodywork - hence why wide arches were introduced. I dont know how this applies to road going beach buggies and hot rods though.

good point! i seen a few buggies on the road where there wheels stick out & also sure vitara's wheels stick out a bit!
but same im sure also its illegal for wheels to stick out further than bodywork!

it's all well and good stripping it all out in the pursuit of uber lightness, but have you though about the aerodynamics of it as well?
though i jus spotted you could probably get some lighter mirrors on there and the wiper fluid system could go and that'd shave off some weight.
