ive got Gigabyte GA-7NNXP with AMD3000XP and 1gig of DDR400

ive got the overclocking software with the motherboard but been to chicken shit to try it cos i have a habbit with screwing up my pc lol

u reckon i should try it?

i did have an acrylic case that had 6-7 fans, but that cracked during transport so got a zero case now, quite funky

honestly wouldnt bother unless you have some hardcore cooling! if you get voltages/bus speeds/multiplier settings wrong, it can wipe out not just your cpu, but also your ram & graphics card!!

mobile chips are multiplier unlocked, also the cores are handpicked byt AMD as there alot more durable than regular desktop cores & will run same speeds at lower voltages.

Mobile 2800+ XP is exactly same as 3200 just underclocked. it can safely run at 3200+ speed at .2 undervoltage than regular chip, plus os half cost.

Also being multiplier-unlocked, means they can be overclocked to even higher speeds.

I seen a mobile athlon 2500+ (1.8GHz) running at 2654MHz, and was performing 18% better on benchmarks like sisoft & 3dmark than highest spec athlon 64 at standard speeds!

Whats everyone think of the Thermaltake (sp) cases? Heard anytihng about them or seen any?

Do you think the Creative Live Drive will fit behind the from panel?

The Website link posted at the start of this thread has a review on two Thermaltake cases.

I want a black and red one I think - not sure. £75 though.
