no, you are wrong, oiled filters fuck the MAF. The oil comes through with the air and slowly builds up on the MAF sensor, screwing it up.

I have never seen a blonde tart driving an A3 turbo, much better car than your Punto so i dont know why you insist on slagging it off.

you are suggesting that they are only good for blonde tarts, so, imo you are slagging the car off.

you have not proved me wrong. if you over oil them then oil can get through and coat the MAF. however filters from the factory are not over oiled and do not leak like an over oiled filter. I fear your problem in reading has made you misread somthing about filters

I have no problem with reading, my comments are based on facts, from owning a VAG car, unlike you and what you may read. I agree over oiling will make it deteriorate faster but oiled filters will cause MAF failures, whether they are over oiled or not.

so your MAF failed from having a cotten oiled filter on it then. you must be seriously unlucky then. Bill brockbank with his 350hp ibiza uses a green filter and sells them. you'd think he would not do so if they fucked up MAF's

your car is not upmarket. is't more expensive. faster well yes but then there are plenty of cars faster than mine. as yours is modified and mine is but not to the same effect if the cars were standard mine iwould be faster

If he wishes to sell them thats up to him. I know of a lot of MAF failures with oiled filters so the fact is, oiled filters will cause MAF failures, unless you wish to be cleaning the MAF on a regular basis which doesnt always work.

so it's not actually happened to you and you can't actually prove that the MAF's failed because of the filter. my car has a MAF thingy. it to if you use an overoiled filter can cause trouble however this does not happen with factory oil filters and it don't happen on other cars as well.

i have replaced my MAF due to it failing. I changed my induction kit straight after. Others have used oiled filters and suffered failures of the MAF

MAF's fail even when you have a normal paper element in them. MAF went on my brother in laws leon cupra and it's standard.
