I know Eibach are the absolute daddies.....but who should i also look at?? Could u tell me out of the following list who are good, who are crap and why!!! cheers!

if i was keeping my car for longer than a1-2 years then i would have brought some decent springs that last! but aas i'm looking to sell it next year.... i went for pi!
i believe that spax, gmax are budget springs just like pi

depends what you want. Koni + Eibach go well. personally I would stay away from Pi, Gmax, Apex, Spax. H&R, Eibach are good makes of spring

My opinion in order of quality:
Eibach
FK/Vogtland (Koni)
Spax
GMax
Apex
Chassis Dynamics (Avo)
PI
I can't think of any others worth mentioning and at the end of the day, springs alone should be treated as a temporary purchase until you get uprated shock absorbers, unless you've got Eibach springs which are perfectly suitable with standard dampers (Pro-Kit only).

With KONI lowering springs the centre of gravity of the car is lowered. Combined with a firmer suspension this will result in even better steering qualities and reduced body movement. The use of lowering springs requires special damping characteristics: the mere application of stiffer springs together with ordinary shock absorbers often has a negative impact on road-holding.
NSRacing recommends Koni Ride Height kits from experience in track testing with their supercharged VR6s for a firm yet comfortable ride.

i got the ssk125 kit and the springs are purple and they are embossed with koni in white. but anyway whoevr makes em, still lost tension!!!!

Nah......from wot the masses have said on the Pegueot sites, the standard TD dampers, were the same units used on the GTi 6/Rallye/S16, and are good for a permanent 40mm drop on springs.
I wanna go for eibach, but having the back lowered 40mm, eibach only do a 35mm front set 
Ideally i need a good quality set of 50mm fronts.

I wouldn't be surprised if Vogtland also buy their springs from somewhere and have their logo stamped on them.

Ride heights quoted by spring manufacturers are all bollocks and are based on the base models at the best of times.
Over time, the metal in the springs will be subject to fatigue. The brand of spring is a good factor in how long this period of time will be.
Fatigue is good to some degree though as it allows the spring to "bed in".
Even the Eibach -50mm kit for the Corsa doesn't lower -50mm

I agree with this. Althought at the time I have Gmax, if I was buying again I'd get Eibach springs and Koni shock's.
Gmax have served me well as a good, low budget kit tho.

Gmax served me very well on my corsa....and they were already 6 months old when i got em. They last another 3 years without fail, and handling was good. I think i was lucky tho.
I only want the best on the Pug, so i guess Eibach will do the trick!

No, they should lower the car a bit and improve your handling to some degree.
With the majority of the springs, ride quality will suffer and your car will "ride" bumps in the road longer.
Look on a ruler - 30mm is fuck all. People complain that they've bought a 35/40mm kit and it's only lowered by 25mm. I refer them to Ojc's penis and explain that he's had to live with his 25mm affliction all his life and I'm sure they'll get over it too.

If I was buying new springs then Eibach.
Ignore any quoted ride heights and go for the springs regardless.
