i have drilled my airbox last week... and i wished i did it 2 years ago when i got the car.

the car is soooo much smoother to ride...and its is much louder at the front end

i didnt change the air filter to an performance one and i do think that i will do!

its one of the best FREE mods u can do with ur car

im gonna follow the guide in the FAQ section. drilled the airbox on my old 1.2 8v and it sounded good but wasnt as loud as my mates 106 1.1 also with drilled airbox. this one should sound better than his though!

Ive got the pipercross induction kit, had it on the car for 6 motnhs went back to standard and it made such a diffeence.

I found the induction kit put a massive flat spot on mid range and really struggled pulling to 85mph

I have now put it back on tho havnt worked out why just like the sound i guess

thought id let u know drilled my airbox 2day. i also reset the ECU, u can tell the difference in throttle response no flat spots. the noise is a good noise BUT its not half as loud as my last corsa 1.2 8v. my m8s reckon it sounds really loud and gives a nice roar from the outside. i just dont seem to be able to hear it that much inside. do you think bigger holes would make a difference to the noise? and im thinking about sticking a cold air feed from down in the front bumper to it. maybe this will make it louder?!

ive got a standard air box at the mo, but ive orderd a 57i just for the fack that it was cheap and i have an idea...
remove all bits of plastic from air box, and panel filter, fit the 57i in the top of the air box, more than likely have to cut loads out the air box to make it fit, get ride of the sdandard air feed, buy a 3-4 inch cold air feed, then fit when old air feed used to be.

this to me seems the best of both worlds, should be done by this weekend, so ill let u know how i get on

problem with induction kits is that they suck in hot air from the engine bay (unless u properly feed it and enclosure it)
which is defo something u dont want to happen!
