Electric accelerates faster than engine driven ones (coz of clutch), but engine driven ones have better top end... I personally prefere acceleration - but wouldn't mind a higher top end than the 14-20 mph I have atm lol...

might leave the motor atm - get the thing looking good, then later get the motor... that Element 19 Turn one above seems pretty decent, good compromise of power / RPM and battery usage.

Well it would of cost a bit to get it from scotland - plus you didn't have a pic...

I bought a Ferrari 360 Kit today like the red one I posted up, got the same wheels as in the pic too but they didn't have chrome - so I bought white ones and have sprayed them in star silver (hehe had some left over) look more realistic than those plasticy looking chrome ones.

Just given my car a complete overhaul, WD-40'ing it in places, cleaning bits out. My Batteries arn't holding their charge atm??? bit weird.

forgot how rapid they accelerate, providing you get traction its like from standstill to absolutely flying in a split second. Put my 4wD drive back on as RWD was just A) giving me no traction and B) making me donut a bit too much

Might look to see if there are any local newbie races happening? If not, might find out what motor people are using to race with and drop one in and try to join a local semi-amature race

Just found there's a radio control club about 2 mins down the road from me that race in a school hall with a track laid out every week... might upgrade my motor and check it out!

dunno is it a TL-01 chassis? like mine (below)

do you mean 4 wheel drive when you said FWD?

Thing is it all depends mate, I'm personally gonna see about racing the above (my old chassis) and just replace a couple of bits, like motor, maybe electric speed controller.

If you want to be a number 1 person and race in real competitions I suppose you'd have to upgrade to a new car.
