Yes I have the car, pics later.

I need to find out what gearbox is in the car at the moment as its already had an engine conversion and I'm concerned that its still running a 1.0 8v gearbox.

Oh and if anyone has the following lieing around and wants shot of it let me know.

X14XE engine
ECU that has'nt been locked out by the immobiliser
Fuel tank with fuel pump (need to check to see if a Corsa one is compatible)
Nova GTE/GSi driveshafts
Nova SRi downpipe
Nova SRi alternator
Nova SRi bottom pulley for V-belt.

F13 = 1.2 16v/1.4 16v
F15 = 1.6 16v (THINK the C16XE may have a WR F15 and the X16 a CL F15).

Dont be a willy. Fit the x/c16xe. its going to be worth it in the long run.

Dont say anything about insurance either... as a transplanted car either way isnt cheap

Junk the std ecu....

pick up a 2nd hand MBE etc unit for cheap.
fuel lines - get em from a breakers etc
shafts n shit.... just buy a tatty old GTE/GSI

CraigPCG may be selling his when he gets the 2.0 popped in

Adam, its the cheaper tax that swayed me.

I really don't want a fast car, just something with a nice smoother engine.

Oh its still registered as a 1.0 8v motor but its had a 1.4 8v SR engine in it since 2000.

Insurance is 500 notes fully comp for me with holding a license for 0 years with 0 NCB

I wouldn't use an X14 for tuning either. Good engines, far beaten by the C16/X16 engines.
