Clutch propable on its was out unless your gettin a shite spark, could either be the plugs failing under load or maybe even moisture in you distrubuter cap

check all the sensors
check vacuum pump to MAP sensor - a hole in this will give similar symptoms to those you have described

sounds just like a missfire to me defenetly not the clutch if it was the clutch it would just rev up and the car would not pick up like normal. does the management light come on when it hesitates if it does its a management fault and if it dosent it will probebly b an ignition fault and if it is any gaurage should be able to fix it. but if u dont want to pay a garage u could allways guess if so i would start with a set of spark plugs. its a pity we didnt meet at the weekend as iam a trained vauxhall mechanic anymore questions u2u me

I think i might change my plugs as well, my 1.2 16v does exactly the same as this!

But it's only done 29,000 miles, how many miles are plugs supposed to be good for?

if the light is not coming on it will probebly be just a plain miss fire try changing the plugs for a cheap fix or take it to a garage. also spark plugs on 16v engines should do 40000 miles or 4 years but under har driving can wear faster
