If you look at his pic you'll see he has an XE.....

You'll need
Custom Engine mounts + shafts
Complete LET, with loom, ecu, turbo etc...
Intercooler + piping
Exhaust mods

Probably some other stuff as well

thats true. Insurance wil be a KILLER!!!

I am toying with 2 routes. I want the turbo but i also like the idea of a valver with TB's.

200bhp is easy achievable on a valver and i reckon power to the wheel throught the revs would be better rather than a burst of power.

neither engine is any more difficult, if anything, the redtop C20XE is easier to fit than the ecotec, less wiring & fiddling than the ecotec

I've had a talk with danny at MJ Motors aka J100rsa he explained the task to fit this engine and it seems pretty much straight forward really, probably because he's a trained mechanic and i'm a nivice

thanks for your replies people

also what box to use 6 speed (F28) or 5 speed (F20) as both need differant work
it is easy m8ty just have a go and if u get stuck use the SOS phone call and ring me or dan

once the engine it sat in the bay (6 bolts and she's in) then most of the rest is in the haynes manual.

i can assure you it would be very unwise not to seam weld a corsa, sure it would be fine to begin with, but over time it will put severe stress on the car. I been talking to quite a few ppl about this cos i was under the impression tha a corsa is still fine and didnt require seam welding.

This info came from a bloke who builds XE's and LETs for wallace engineering etc I mean if a standard XE can twist bulheads on GTE's i am pretty sure a LET with a) more torque and B) more power will deffo ruin a corsa over time. The only cars the XE and LET was intended for was Cavvy's and Cally's not corsas or even GTE's initlally.

i been doing some research as i am looking to droppin a LET in mine soon
