They aint that slow, epecially when compared to most of the 'hot-hatchs' you have listed..

I find it amusing how the post if moddified, so its only small new hatches, when the Clio's main rival is the CTR..

Personally i dont rate the new mini c s, my boss has one and my mates 1.9 205 gti has beaten him.

The car drinks soo much fuel its ridiculous too

slower than Punto GT, Slower than a VTS, slower than a clio cup, 16V & williams. they are slow

From the same magizine:

Fiat Punto GTT 0-60 in 8 seconds..

205 GTI 7.9

106 gti 0-60 in 7.4 0-100 in 22

VTS 0-60 in 7.6 0-100 in 22,6

lets not get carried away saying they are slow, after all, all the above are slow comparativly speaking..

A car isnt quick unless it can do 0-100 in less than 15 seconds IMO..

If you pick your hot hatches in terms of which one is 'faster' you are missing out.. you should pick the one that offers the most in terms of handling, and fun factor...

I stick with the Cooper S

yes evo stats. punto GT 8s to 60. this is somthing they have not tested and just made this number up. book time with all the extra weight is 7.9s to 62mph. I don;t have faith in EVO's times

not sure as ive never looked it up properly, but i read somewhere that 0-60 was 7.3, 120bhp standard, lets not forget they weigh in at 863kgs! thats 6psi standard for all u boost junkies! is chris the one with the 150bhp clio? raced a supposed 147bhp one down by me and raped the stupid little boy senseless! is chris goin to the rolling road day at europarts in stoke? renault sport club and the rtoc are there for the day, should be a good day, the 15th i think!

its 3 now, never raced one off the line, but through mid range to top end the three R5 GTT's ive raced couldnt touch me, they were all std

yesh autocar tested the current hot hatch crop around a circuit in april and the gti was beaten only by the CTR and clio cup

The williams is a nicer car, the new shape Clio's look awful imo
