Was playing this with Barnshaw over the weekend. I'm so bad at it, trying to unlock a bolt action sniper but the first one is so bad I rarely get more than 4 kills a game with it.

I thought it was expensive so put off buying it for a bit. But it's like having another game plus there is still one more map pack to come out in March included in the price.

no point getting preem now, only 1 dlc left, might aswell just buy the maps your interested in. you basically pay for early access and some shit extras that are useless in game.
close quaters is a COD style fail
armoured kill if you like vehicles
aftermath is a must - best maps so far
end game will come in march

just play the objective, caps flags and get points for your unlocks faster
m40a5 is first/good bolt action you can run with this all game, only need 60 kills for straight pull bolt, 8x scope is all you need.
iv got a 2nd account (recon only) and had everything unlocked with my 1st recon service star in about 10 hours

When I looked at your server last night it was on Grand Bazaar. Don't really want to play on the old maps at the moment, just playing on the aftermath maps. The town/village maps on it are brilliant!

decope the starter rifles and use them like that - play conquest and contantly capture points also.
If you have close quarter play conquest domination - they seem to be points fests

also a good way to level up recon is switch out to a PDW such as the UMP-45 and play a 1750 ticket game of metro conquest - i think the biggest points i have scored on that is something like 70K

yeah til it gets to like 1600 tickets of base rape
using a bolt action doesnt render you ineffective, you can still cap flags and level people, spot everything, use your side arm / gadgets effectivly.
i love recon but unfortunatly support is too much fun with c4

those are the most frustrating games - but if you are on the recieving end - leg it and place a cheaky spawn beacon near there deployment.
Bolt action JNG-90 with a Kobra RDS is an amusing combo 
Support is far far far too much fun with C4 - i am one of those bastards making use of jeep bombs - highly effective on caspian border - I also love my M240B and bipod seriously effective for suppression and crowd control
