I have it setup so its on an angle therefore the IR does not reflect back, I could see the numberplates of my car and our van VERY VERY clearly from approx a 5 meter distance
when somebody gets on the path, the security light lights up therefore the quality should increase much more

I Installed a CCTV system in our shop
2 months later a guy came in with a gun and pointed it to my dads head

It will be very interesting to see what the new camera with the Pi can do. At 5mp. If it can encode on the fly it could be a very cheap way of getting a high def web cam.
