I had a HTC desire - stepped on the screen and sent it in for a insurance jobbie - they have since come back and said they can't do it but they can replace it with either

HTC Desire - but theres a waiting list
Samsung Galaxy S
HTC Wildfire

Are the last two choices any good? I love my Desire and love Android.

If you liked HTC Sence (which I really do) you'll find it hard to go to TouchWiz (Samsungs flavour). It's really bad. Plus the battery life on the Galaxy will be shocking.

The wildfire has a shocking screen, apart from that it's fine but a real downgrade from the Desire.

Get another desire or upgrade to the desire S

So the stupid cunts still haven't been able to source me a desire and I'm either on a waiting list for one which could be ages or they will throw me £254 , is it possible to get a desire for that sort of money?

Girl I know had this problem with an iPhone. They ended up giving her cash which she used to buy a refurb from ebay...

Phone kept crashing so she sent it back special delivery. They are now saying they never received the phone even though it was signed for. They're asking her to claim through Royal Mail for it (obviously so they can keep the money )

All screams scam to me! I've told her to claim through Paypal/Ebay

O2 quoted me £349.99 for a Desire S, so putting in £100 for a new phone is abit gay but I could be pushed if its that good. Anyone know where I can get me a Desire S for £300?

I've got one and it's amazing, I had the hero before and it's 100 times the phone. Well impressed with it. Had a Nexus S before which was a pile of wank in comparason.
