you will be able to unlock the iphone 2 but no one has released it on the net yet. I don't think you can buy the new one without the contract at the min thow. i have the older iphone and was lucky to get it when u register it at home..

Exactly, its irrelevant whwther it can be unlocked unless u buy it on PAYG as yoiu must sign uop to a contract with O2 in store

The new models are on Ebay for £600+. I don't think they are worth that much money, especially as I have the old version which is perfect for me They are great phones...
