was driving round today and my speedo has messed up. it was moving but tends to wave arround a bit and nw it just wiggles arround the 0-10mph mark. anyone know what it could be. its electric driven by the way.

I had a simular problem at one stage where the speedo would wave around for no apparent reason, and never got an answer on here. I seem to have fixed it by taking the speedo out and just putting it back in making sure it was pefectly lined up

yea is driving fine- iv taken the clocks out and put them back in but still have the same problem. it sounds the same problem as you had- the needle just waves around.

mine are mechanical and didnt move at all. check the connection - i think its called the transducer - on the gearbox. Check a haynes manual to find out its exact location

do your dials start from 0mph or 10mph?
10mph are mechanical
0mph are electric

they start from 0mph and I have had the clocks out allready so know they are electrical- do you think it will be expensive to fix?
