Saw a bloke the other day who when he presses his key forbb the car stats its self up and when he looked it the engine still ran for a short period of time with the doors locked and then shut down. Think he had it set like that cuz it was a turbo.

His was a clifford alarm.

My question is can this be done on a corsa, I have a 1.4 16v sport N Reg, and was told when I tried to get a new key cut that the Key I have has a chip in it which deactivates the imobiliser when you turn the car on.

So does this mean that unless I leave the key in the ignition, which I wouldn't want to do, I wouldn't be able to fit one of these engine starts ?

Or can I dismantal the key and secure tjhe chip some where else ?

The bloke most likely had a turbo'd car.

Some people have them to warm the car up before they drive and run it for a bit when they stop. Don't know if theres any point or not tbh.

On yours i'd say it's pointless.
