F1 and Resistance are both £29.99 on Amazon, so it's basically £10 for the 60Gb console over the 40Gb.

Depends if you want F1 (I think Resistance is worth getting)?

But you forget, its business. Businesses do that sort of stuff all the time. You don't expect Sony to just let the PS3 fizzle out of place simply because they said at one time 'we're not going to reduce it'.

I haven't got any of the consoles, but have always liked Sony and will consider the PS3 with the reduced price. I haven't got any PS2 games anyway as I sold them all last year so backwards compatibility means nothing.

i was more refering to there god complex tbh, i know business's drop prices when maturity hits ect.

the fact they actually said something along the lines of "we are not dropping the price of the ps3 it is a thing of beauty, if people cant afford it they need to work more"

is kind of what i was referring to.

a lot of people, read gamefaqs message boards or something simmilar and you will relize a lot of people use the backwards compatibility.

then again a lot of casual gamers who are graphics whores dont care as its the usual "why would i play a game with crap graphics derrrrrr" .

i would use it as i still play a lot of ps2 titles as there are a lot of gems, if i had a ps3 i wouldnt want a ps2 sitting on my media set up aswell would i ?
