The middle box on my sport needs changing because the baffles on the inside are rattling. The noise is really anoying me at the moment and want a simple solutuion to an anoying little problem
Would fitting a (stright through) tube instead of a box be cheaper to do than an o.e. replacement?
Also what would i expect to pay system wise? (one that doesn't scream "chav". sounds standard but cool when you open up) could i get hold of one for around 150-200 quid?

look for 2nd hand magnex cat-back systems on here, some times they pop up.
just got a magnex oval back box on mine, its quite when cruising (ie not a pain on motorways), but when you floor it, it sounds nice, but doesn't scream.

Does a cat back have a middle box or just "staright through" from the cat to the Backbox?

Got a grinder? Cut the baffles out and weld it back up if your on a budget.

I'd say that a "local" garage would do it for a few quid but it's not worth the hassle IMO. I'll just probably get it it replaced with a tube or put up with it and buy an aftermarket system
