SO i had a nosey around everything looked intact, i dropped the tank down and about a litre of fuel was sat on top of the tank, diconnected the fuel lines and filler pipe so the tank dropped down to find this...................

i presume its the problem, but i want to know if it simply screws off, or pops off and also what do i ask the parts guy for when im explaining what i need?

if the pump still works, then i think the wireing can be disconected from the underside of the plate and the 2 pipes can and im 90% sure thats the same plate as a corsa one, so anyone with a old pump kicking about, the plate will fit it

Ive half sorted it, its the left handside pipe sticking out of the top that has a split in it, got my mum to put her fingers over both the pipes while i turned it over, she got covered in petrol, wasnt impressed, but ive found the problem at lest.

Going to get a replacement tomorrow off a calibra thats being broke.
