Depends on the eventual problem as to what they will charge don't you think?
You can't put a price on a problem you haven't sussed yet.

I had this problem, needed a new tank, 100 quid and an hour labour to fit it.

Vauxhall will charge 50ish to check it out and a tank from them is 380.

Personally before I paid anyone I'd park in on some dry driveway and see if you got some drips, and crawl around underneath with a torch.

Mine knackered tank was rusty on the seem and clearly for the bin. Worth checking.

Could be over fueling? Mine was stinking like mad until i adjusted the power boost valve, doesn't pull so well up the revs like it did but soon got rid of the smell of petrol in the car, i wondered why i kept feeling tired whilst driving

What is your fuel consumption like? Can you smell the petrol when the car is parked inside a garage or only from inside the car when driving?
