Hi all, will spax -50mm springs be ok on bilstein oe spec shocks, cos ive already got the bilstein shocks on the front and dont want to spend more money on shortend shocks.

i dont think you need shortened shocks it just helps them to no bottom out 
should be fine i guess

Cheers Dan, i thought so ive already got nova lowered springs and grips really well but the rear coils on the springs are hitting each other which is annoying, so ill invest in some spax and bilstien rear shocks

if you are using standerd shacks but lowering springs i would change the shocks aswell other wise the spring has got a chance of faling out the cup an when you jack the car up it will fall out aswell. an how do you meen the coils on the springs are hitting each other????

replacing shocks is more to do with the damping rates than the length if the piston.
springs and shocks with unmatched damping rates = shit handling and ride quality.

cheers for the help guys, new to the site and you have all been very helpfull. I have now decided to spend a little extra and get eibach springs and bilstein shocks, it wont look as low as it is now on nova -40mm springs but at least it wont be as bouncy and crashy.
