Hi im thinking about getting a janspeed 4-2-1 for my car. it is a 1.4 16v sport (x14xe)
it currently has a BMC CDA induction kit, a Peromance Inlet Manifold and a de-cat and a back box. EDIT it also has a boost valve but i dont know the setting lol
I was just wondering what sort of power gains i will see and is it worth while buying it??
cheers tom

Ive got a 1.4 sport, so far ive got an exhaust system thats it, so its still kinda standard. (performance wise)
I duno what im gonna do to myne but what youve done to yours sounds good and has given me some ideas.

I have similar mods on a 1.6 and i'd expect maybe an extra 3-4 when i fit the 4 branch.

im not sure whether i should start on the inside of my car look wise for a bit now, like getting an ice install and some leathers or whether i should carry on working on my engine.
so i just want to know whether i will feel the gains from the manifold or if it will just be a minimal gain

when i fitted a full exhaust system with manifold and decat, i hardly noticed any gains
then inlet manifold and lightened flywheel make greatest gains on these engines

be better off spending cash on a remap chief! would give an increase in power, and make the best use of those mods you have.
plus, the manifolds on the 1.4/1.6 engines are ok i reckon! 4-2-1 aren't they? can't be arsed to go look.
