Found this tonight while under the car. Its just to the left of the rear passenger spring. Can it be welded up or does it need a new axle?

id be inclined to swap it but could possibly be welded im no welder though

If the metal is thin around the area of that then the weld wont be strong imo

Its quite an essential that part is as it keeps the wheel on. I'd take no chances and replace the axle tbh. I wouldnt weld that thinking it could snap, then game over

But then it is like box section type of thing and i dare say it can be welded, I wouldnt like it on my car though (as i drive mine quite hard)
