Do some people use calibra columbs on corsa B's when converting to XE's?

Reason i ask is the barrel is angled at 45 degrees on the columb from the scrappy and the one fitted is horizontal to the columb - they are different!

Im confused...

As i didn't complete the conversion and don't know the guy who did it as he lives up north - im stuck as i need to change the columb / barrel as i snapped the key in the boot lock!
