what causes red spark plugs? last week i checked and they were realy black all sooty, now there red??????

looked in haynes.

says lead glazing in mine for green/yellow shiny appearance.

nope, i have been using contanimated petrol (the supermarket stuff which we drain at work) checked the plugs and they were all sooty, so id fort id change them

then today (now have shell petrol in so all good) changed them and noticed there red, never seem plugs like that before
