ok, my mate wanted all his discs and pads changing for new ones, so i said i would help him out.
we did the fronts dead easy.
to push the piston back i loosened the bleed nipple and then tightened it up once i had got enough room.. did that for both fronts.
on the back i took off the brake pipe, and the nipple because it was one of those ones you had to turn b4 the piston would retract..
anyway, put it all back on and bled the system, starting from rear right, rear left front left and finally front right, topped the oil level back up and he brakes were spongy..
so i checked all the nipples, and the back two brake cables and they are all solid, no air came out when bleeding them it was just a solid stream of oil.
when you turn the engine off and pump the pedal it goes hard, soon as you turn the engine on it goes soft then when you pump it it gets harder but if you keep applying constant pressure the pedal sinks back down.
that says to me, leaking pipes or air in system somewere, but i couldnt see no brake fluid around the floor.
does anyone know if i forgot something or possibly overlooked something
its a 20v cupra turbo (180bhp)
