Hi there, just wandering what the standard BHP of the corsa B SRi was?

Are they just as quick as the 1.4 sport or are they slightly slower or faster?

82bhp for the 8v
88bhp for the 16v

16v is slightly quicker than the later sports, but the early sports are about the same

8v is only slightly slower.

Depends on what engine mate. Is it the 8v or the 16v?

If it's the 16v (x14xe) they have 88bhp

And if it's the 8v (C14SE) they have 82bhp.

On the road though, I would say the 8v is slighty faster to 60mph due to the torque then the 16v will start to pull away.

i have a 16v sri. only thing i can find wrong is the gearbox is gash at top end

I've had both a 16v sport and an 8v SRi. Can't tell any difference on the road but my insurance was slightly cheaper for the 8v.
