Hi took my car to Vauxhall to have the gears fixed and they have told me that the CV Boot ball joint is split or something like this. im not really sure what it means. They have quoted me £120 to get it fixed. Would i be able to get it cheaper else where and what is it that has actually split? Is it driveable? Any suggestions???

Is driveable. £120 is a pisstake. Any garage could do this for a lot cheaper. Whats split is a rubber cover that keepd grease around the joint so it doesn't bugger up.
