My K&N didnt loose power?
K&N Apollo is very good. Also try a new inlet/cams/remap or VTEC

cams, verniers, inlet manifold (mantzel diablis or powerbox of ebay), sportex 4-1 manifold and full exhaust, Rolling road tune up to get everything working as it should do and you should easily see a 35hp increase. After that you may as well drop in a x/c20xe or c20let. good luck.

The best place to start is binning the standard inlet and replacing it with a Mantzel/Dbilas/Lexmaul item.
Or, a built-in-shed inlet that you can get from E-Bay.
