what should i be looking out for when buying a XE engine. Any hints or tips?

Service History? Taps/Rattles, Smoke. Mileage. When was Cambelt changed (Not essential - I always check though!)

Mine is quite a high miler, but has 14 vaux service history stamps, didn't smoke on startup and was full of clean oil and blue coolant
