i want to buy new exhaust and inlet manifolds for me 1.2 16v, but i can't find any! Everyone stops at 1.4
anyone know anywhere i can find some to fit - or some other engine parts to give me some more power? i can go up to £400 really - any other suggestions than purely engine parts would be appreciated.

piper, supersprint both do exhausts. And that's just at a glance. If it ain't listed just ring them up, companys don't always list all there applications.
but i'm stuck for inlets. With £400 just bang a redtop in there. That will see more bhp gain that the exhaust and inlet.

I wouldnt really bother mate, I think Dbilas do inlets for the 1.2 16v but I would'nt bother and just wait and buy a 1.6 down the line.

u will need a fair bit to make a 1.2 beat a 1.6, or alternatively just get a 1.6 and tune that. dont bother tuning the 1.2

hmmm mebe i'll drop a GSI in it.
i wasnt saying i wasnt going to tell them - is just a modified 1.2 would probs be less than a 1.6 - seeing as im only 18 in march.
got my exhaust system pretty much done, all the aesthetics on the car are pretty much done and me insurance is alredi pretty high for just an sxi!

ud pay thousands to make a 1.2 match a 1.6, ud pay a little more to insure a 1.6. you do the math.

haha ok ok you win.
just thinking though - more expensive to buy and mod another car - or do an engine conversion and change everything to balance the car - eg brakes, gearbox, suspension etc....?
i'll be doing it in 3 months or so
